Smith Marine, Inc., a Massachusetts based WBE/DBE certified business, is looking for an experienced and qualified Marine Construction Carpenter/Piledriver. This position is for a full time, benefit eligible position. Smith Marine works on private, commercial and prevailing wage projects throughout New England and offers competitive wages and benefits package.
The preferred candidate must have first hand knowledge and experience of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the marine construction field. Ability to work on the water all day long in exposed elements; ability to work well with others in a team environment; high degree of awareness to the environment around you. This is a highly physical position requiring applicant to be in reasonably good physical condition. Load and unload materials, handle extractor/hammers, and hose bundles, work with air and power tools and operate small vessels. Responsible for providing quality workmanship, efficient productivity, and safe working environment.
Duties: Pier and piling work, both timber and steel, building and repairing wood piers, docks, framing and setting concrete forms, installing pilings and seawalls and pouring concrete. Operating small boats around worksite.

Smith Marine, Inc. a Massachusetts based Marine Construction company is looking for an EXPERIENCED, MA 1A/NCCCO certified Hoisting Engineer, with American and Manitowoc friction crane experience in both Piledriving and Clamshell operations.
This is a Full Time, benefit eligible position after probationary period.
